Quality Assurance

APC’s fabrication department utilizes the best measurement devices to insure the highest accuracy and precision at all times.

APC’s coating lab incorporates the latest equipment to measure transmission and reflection from the visible to the far infrared wavelengths. A custom-built vacuum laser calorimeter is used to measure absorption and CO2 lenses and mirrors. The custom built DynaVac chambers and all inspection equipment are housed in a class 10,000 clean room, thus ensuring optics meet the highest quality standards and perform up to customers’ expectations. APC utilizes The Essential Macleod design software to develop and maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of thin film infrared optical coatings. Many applications are unique and APC has the personnel and the ability to customize optical coatings to meet current market requirements.
